Today we are celebrating Frances "Frankie" Melvin and her achievements as a Sparkplug! Frankie is a senior here at Speedway and is a hard worker in everything she’s done. She plays Girls Tennis in the spring and was a football manager in the fall. “She has been with us for four years and is a great addition to the team," said varsity girls tennis coach Karly Smith. "She does a great job encouraging the younger girls, and playing her heart out!” In tennis, Frankie has earned the Sportsmanship Award. When interviewed during the fall, Frankie planned on studying English Education at an undecided “English is my favorite subject," noted Frankie. "I love to read and write and I also love to analyze pieces of literature.” We are excited to see what Frankie's future holds and excited to see her on the tennis courts this spring. Senior profiles are composed by the SHS Student Media Team of Morgan Smith, Jonathan Berry, Hayli Clampitt, and Colten Thompson.
