SPEEDWAY HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS

A four year varsity runner in both Cross Country and Track, JB has shown his commitment to Speedway by attending and sticking with these two programs throughout his time at Speedway. During his cross country career, Jonathan has earned the Mental Atittude and the Most Improved Award. “Jonathan is a four year varsity runner in both the Cross Country and Track (4th year this spring) programs, where he has been a great leader for both teams,” said coach Brian Hunteman. “He is also the last in a long line of Berry siblings to be involved in both programs, and for me, that is going to be difficult to replace.” The son of Darla and Gordon Berry, JB has one brother (Christian) and two sisters (Joanna, Amelia). Jonathan's mother and brother are two of his biggest influences. According to Jonathan he’s happy they are … “always being there and being inspirational.” Jonathan plans on going to school at either Butler or IU, but is also thinking about staying close to home.
