Jacob Contreras is a senior at Speedway High School and is a great athlete and person who deserves to be celebrated. He has played soccer for Speedway all four years and has developed into a great player. “He’s one of the hardest workers on the team and is always doing what he can do to help the team.," said varsity soccer coach Dean Heaviland. "We expect a lot from Jacob and he's willing to step in for any challenge." Heaviland describes Jacob as “... a rock solid defender and senior captain." recognizing that Jacob has a great passion for the game. “It (Soccer) brings a lot of competition and it helps with making you work as a team and making friendships.” Jacob credits his mother as one of the most influential people in his life. "I hope to one day have the relationship she has with God.” Jacob is the son of Francisco Contreras and Adriana Averndaro.
